1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site independent from every public office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves government histories, performs official checks, or submits paperwork for a user.

Its purpose is to identify Franklin County custodians, including the Sheriff's Office, Circuit Court Clerk, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and to provide access to outside tools that may assist personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated methods against the pages
• Violate federal, Tennessee, or local law through your use
• Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
• Use site content for employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
• Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this website or a linked tool may not be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct can violate the law. Tennessee registry information is intended for public awareness, not vigilante acts or prohibited discrimination. Misuse directed at a listed person can carry criminal or civil consequences under the Tennessee Sexual Offender and Violent Sexual Offender Registration, Verification and Tracking Act, T.C.A. §§40-39-201 through 40-39-218.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. The same is true of the services promoted by our advertising partners. You agree that neither this site nor a linked tool will be used to:

• Evaluate a person's credit or insurance eligibility
• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Review a rental or housing application
• Determine access to a permit, license, or public benefit
• Carry out another action regulated by the FCRA

A legally regulated check must come through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation when that official route applies or from a provider that complies with the FCRA.

All content and functions are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

• Every page will remain free of errors or security weaknesses

Charges may be filed, changed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged after content is published. Gaps can occur. Nothing here is an official statement from the Franklin County courts, Sheriff's Office, TBI, or another public body.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms, and any dispute tied to use of the website must be brought in a Tennessee court. Official public-record access remains governed by the Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5, while T.C.A. §38-6-120 addresses TBI criminal-history checks and dissemination authority.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
